Try joining #LinIF on irc.freenode.net and chat with other LinIF members. In your IRC client, type:

/server irc.freenode.net 6667
/join #LinIF

Do not have an IRC client yet?

You can get xchat or KvIRC for Linux or check out Freshmeat for a longer list of Linux based chat clients.

If you are running a Win32 platform, you can try xchat (win32) or mIRC or see TUCOWS for more options in IRC clients for Windows.

if you are running a Mozilla based browser (Firefox, SeaMonkey, Netscape), you can try the ChatZilla plugin, a browser based IRC client.
